Submit a Pattern Observation

Describe a manipulation pattern you encountered. No names. No identifiable institutions. Just the mechanism and the signal. Submissions are reviewed and abstracted before publishing.

How to submit a useful observation

  • Describe the tactic, not the person. No names of individuals, specific institutions, or identifying details.
  • Focus on the mechanism: how did the pattern work?
  • What was the signal? The thing that tipped you off.
  • Submissions that name specific people or organizations will be abstracted before publishing. Patterns are published, not accusations.

The form does not collect your name or email. Before storage, an automated privacy filter removes common direct identifiers such as email addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, URLs, handles, precise dates, street addresses, and likely personal or organization names. Automated redaction cannot recognize every identity clue, so do not include details you need kept private.

If you are in danger or need support: visit the help page for resources. This form is for pattern documentation, not emergency reporting.

Name the manipulation pattern. If you don't know what to call it, describe it and an editor will categorize it.

General category only. Do not name the specific organization.

Describe how the manipulation worked: the tactic, not the person. No names of individuals or specific organizations. At least 20 characters.

The quiet signal that something was off. Optional but valuable.

Vague time reference only. Never precise; this protects you.
