Deceit names manipulation patterns: love bombing, future faking, spiritual bypassing, coercive control, and others. Naming a pattern is an analytical tool, not a clinical diagnosis. Individuals and institutions are not diagnosed with personality disorders, mental health conditions, or cult membership.

Clinical frameworks like the BITE model for coercive control are used as analytical lenses, not as diagnostic instruments. A pattern match is not proof of intent, guilt, or pathology. It is a recognition tool.

The analysis covers rhetoric, not character. The subject of every claim is the message, not the person. When individuals are named, "allegedly," "according to," and similar qualifiers are used when claims have not been adjudicated. Claims are attributed to their sources.

When a company or institution is named, the project documents whether they were contacted for comment. If they were not contacted, it says so.

Deceit publishes in two registers: sourced analysis, and the World of Deceit, a constructed fiction layer centered on deceit.world. Some World of Deceit artifacts are presented in-form, without labels, including the recovered documents in the Extrapolations section on deceit.site. Every event, document, system, and outcome in those artifacts is invented, and none describes any real person's conduct. Where an artifact names a real agency or company, its role in the story and any statement attributed to it are invented, not reported; an artifact may reference a genuine public fact as backdrop, but describes no real institution's actual conduct. Settings run from the recent past into an invented future. The patterns they dramatize are real. The documents are not.

Nothing in the World of Deceit should be read as factual reporting about any real institution, government, or individual. It is a narrative device for making manipulation mechanisms visible. The two registers carry their own marks. Analysis cites its sources: if a page links you to where a claim was made, it is analysis, held to the standards on this page and the editorial policy. Artifacts carry the amber "Artifact" badge and the "From the World of Deceit archive" line: if a page arrives as a recovered document, it is the World of Deceit.

Some artifacts are also presented as entries in the Deceit Field Guide, which sets the same recovered document inside a naturalist's taxonomy: where a pattern lives, how it behaves, how to recognize it. Those entries carry the same badge and the same archive line. Each closes with a "What's Already Real" section citing documented cases from the public record. The taxonomy and the cited cases describe real patterns and real events. The field encounter set inside them does not.

Whispers on whispersofdeceit.com are community-submitted pattern observations collected through an intake designed for anonymity. Common identifiers are filtered before storage, then an editor reviews and abstracts selected observations before publishing. They are not verified accounts of specific events involving specific people. They are pattern observations, contributed by community members and edited to reduce identification risk.

A whisper documents a tactic and a signal. It does not name a target. It should not be read as an accusation against any identifiable person or institution.
